Live Your Dreams
Bobby Lee Krajnik
"Live Your Dreams"
10 x 8 x 1.5"
oil on board
This church painting is based on one of the California missions along the El Camino Real. The mission suffered severe damage after an earthquake. I found the cracks in the facade very interesting and wanted to accentuate them and portray some of the history.

I've started using a slightly different color palette. I'm mixing the majority of my colors and only using a few colors straight from the tube. It's takes a bit longer to mix my palette, however the colors are extraordinary, very rich and vibrant.

Cielos de Lavanda en Taos
Bobby Lee Krajnik
Cielos de Lavanda en Taos
5 x 5 x 1/4"
oil on cradled board
This rendition of Ranchos de Taos was painted during my stay in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. I had a beautiful studio space which I shared with an amazing artist named Jose Luis Arias. The space was in a centuries old building with high ceilings and beautiful tile floors. I was so inspired I finished another seven pieces which I will be blogging about in the near future.

Lavender Skies
Bobby Lee Krajnik
Lavender Skies
8 x 8 1.5"
oil on board
I painted this little church on the patio at Michael Hennington Gallery in Santa Fe, Nm... when the weather was cooperating. The inspiration for this little jewel comes from a small chapel on Main St. in Longmont, Co. The church is precious and made of red brick, but these colors spoke to me on that windy rainy day. Lots of texture in this piece! This painting is on display at Michael Hennington Gallery 802 Canyon Road Santa Fe Nm. Please contact the gallery, or I can be reached at; info@bobbyleekrajnik.com or 480-250-6859.

Pthalo Dreams

Pthalo Dreams
8 x 8 x 1 1/2"
oil on board
This vibrant colorful church painting was loosely based on South Park Community Chapel, built in 1874 and located in Fairplay, Colorado. It is a quaint quirky town and, yes, this is the town which inspired the cartoon comedy series "South Park." I had to stop and check out the town while passing through and found the darling chapel.

The inspiration for this adobe church painting is St. Annes Parish in Tubac, Arizona, next to the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park. If you are ever visiting Southern Arizona, Tubac is a wonderful and charming art colony situated less than 30 miles north of the Nogales border. I loved painting this church!

This wonderful little piece was painted at Cobalt Fine Arts during the Luminaria Festival. It was painted at night in the gallery and has an almost ethereal quality, as it seems to glow. Love this piece!
Thanks again Meisha for a wonderful show!
