Nuestra Senora del Perpetuo Esperanza

Bobby Lee Krajnik
"Nuestra Senora del Perpetuo Esperanza"
18 x 24 x 1.5 inches
oil on linen

This mission painting is is my interpretation of the "Old Adobe Mission" in downtown Scottsdale, Arizona.  Our Lady of Perpetual Help church was built by the local community in 1933. The charming adobe building was built in the Spanish Colonial Revival achitectural style.

A Place of My Own

A Place of My Own
6 x 6 x 3/4"
oil on cradled board
Bobby Lee Krajnik

SOLD

I imagined this little mission about ten years ago and have painted several versions of it over the years. I have been told it resembles a church in New Mexico. I have not seen it yet, but hope to someday stumble upon it during one of my jaunts to the Taos area. I have just returned from a trip to Santa Fe and Taos where I met some truly amazing artists, viewed wonderful architecture and gazed upon spectacular landscapes. I am returning even more inspired and ready to paint!
